DARUL FALHA EDUCATIONAL AND WELFARE TRUST

is a not for profit organization working for the upliftment of the marginalized communities. The founding members of the trust were initially involved in improving the educational status of underprivileged children, particularly those hailing from the minority communities and Other Backward Class. However, during the course of their activities, the members realized that a more systematic approach was required to address issues related to poverty and lack of development among the underprivileged communities. And simultaneously it also dawned upon them that they need to have a more holistic approach towards development and hence should expand the scope of their activities, that is, their activities should not be limited only to education. Thus, under the able leadership of Mr Abdul Karim Dawood Garibee, a trust, namely DARUL FALHA EDUCATIONAL AND WELFARE TRUST, was registered.

Within a very short span of time, the organization gained a firm footing in the community it works for and managed to garner support for its projects among the community and other stakeholders. The efforts of the organization not only provided the much-needed support but a new hope to the underprivileged communities, particularly women and children. This acceptability among the community provided the organization the impetus to organize itself and develop a comprehensive approach towards holistic development.
